Sustainability Efforts at MMPP
At the heart of MMPP's ethos is a commitment to environmental stewardship, shaping not just how products are made, but setting a benchmark for the entire industry. In a world increasingly conscious of its ecological footprint, MMPP's sustainable practices stand as a testament to what is possible when environmental responsibility is woven into the fabric of a company's identity.
MMPP powers a circular economy.
Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)
Recovery
Our ETP facility recovers excess water for treatment, noting that the vast majority of water used within the paper making process is recycled at source within closed systems
Separation
The process then segregates sludge.
Treatment
Surplus water is discharged into local permissible community effluent systems.
Committed to the Environment
Our prime raw material is 100% recycled wastepaper, primarily OCC (Old Corrugated Cartons) and some mixed waste.
80% of this wastepaper is recycled from within Egypt.
The Group is the largest recycler of OCC wastepaper within Egypt.
The Group also imports OCC as and when necessary, primarily from surrounding regional countries and southern Europe.
The Group has its own wastepaper collection depots, has direct collection arrangements, and partners the larger suppliers in Egypt.
Virgin Pulp is sourced from FSC approved suppliers.
